MEET THE 2024/2025 CREW:
Captain Pedro:
I'm Pedro from Benidorm, southeast Spain, nestled between the sea and the mountains. Growing up, I embraced activities like kayaking, fishing, hiking, farming, and beekeeping. After completing my bachelor's degree in Marketing and Market Research, I embarked on fulfilling my travel dreams—exploring the trans-Siberian route, Mongolia, Australia, and hitchhiking the Silk Road. After over 2 years, during this journey, sailing emerged as a profound passion, particularly after my first Atlantic crossing.
Post my initial Atlantic adventure, I decided to immerse myself in the world of sailing and diving. I took steps to work on sailing boats and after that I gained experience in tender driving.
Hospitality and boats captivate me, and my ongoing goal is to continually enhance my skills to provide the best service possible. Looking ahead, I aspire to own a sailing yacht and make it my home in the future.
Chef/First Mate Cova:
I'm Cova from Malaga, southern Spain, and I'm passionate about the ocean. Since 2018, I've immersed myself in surfing, cooking, fishing and Brazilian Jujitsu.
I’ve always been passionate about cooking since I was a child. I grew up watching my grandmother and mother cook, so I try to replicate their dishes, Mediterranean style, which is full of flavors and culture. I have a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences and a master's degree in Governance. Driven by a desire for an ocean-centric lifestyle, I began sailing in 2022. Over 8 months, I sailed from Grenada to the Bahamas. I worked as a stew/deckhand in Saint Tropez and successfully crossed the Atlantic Ocean in December 2023.
My goals are improving my cooking and sailing skills, deepening my knowledge of the ocean and its wildlife, obtaining certifications as a yacht master and above all enjoying the joy of this incredible oceanic lifestyle.
We look forward to welcoming you aboard Galaxsea!

What an incredible charter. We’ve done this before but can say this has been THE BEST charter / holiday to date. Isaac and Bri were AMAZING! They looked after us so well, went over and beyond what we would have expected in terms of food, cocktails (😉), attentive service and making this holiday simply unforgettable. Amazing trip! Thank you so much for all your hard work. This has been such a stressful year with covid and quarantine. We definitely needed a break from all of it. You helped us accomplish all we wanted to do - beautiful hikes, great snorkeling, wonderful beaches. Taylor, the food was delicious!! Thanks to both of you for all your hard work! Christmas Eve dinner was the best! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. it will definitely be one of our favorite Christmas memories. And of course after each great day of fabulous food and fun adventures we played playing Settlers of Catan. We are definitely going to have to return if nothing else, to try to beat Xander. Thanks for such an amazing week!! Xander and Tay exceeded our expectations everyday, Hands down best Christmas vacation ever.
Captain Xander was the absolute best!!! Always super helpful in suggesting plans, super calm and collected amidst a few boat issues we had, and always encouraging of a good time. Not to mention he found us some awesome swim spots and amazing places to eat. We all met as strangers and left as friends. We definitely know our experience would not have been nearly as amazing if it weren’t for him. We can’t wait to request him next time!!
Xander's knowledge about the boat, the sea, each island and yacht week was stellar. He was exceptionally helpful in communicating updates, recommending things to do/dinner venues and booking said venues. He was really great at reading overall energy levels of the group and matching them. Also hyping us up when needed! He was accommodating and understanding - reminding us all that it was our trip and tailoring it to us.
Captain Xander was amazing. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism, safety, and fun during a seriously challenging week due to the Corona Virus situation. The whole time maintaining a positive attitude and checking in with each of us personally to still give us the best vacation possible. Personally, I was interested in learning about sailing, and Xander was more than happy to nerd out with me, which was great. Even though it was my first charter, I really can’t imagine having a better, more receptive, and friendly skipper!
I LOVE TAYLOR. That’s my girl!!!! Food was fire, so so good always. Not only were the meals always different, but always fresh, always creative and so well thought out. We had so many different options, everyone always had enough. We kept saying she couldn’t top one meal, and then she’d top it with the next one. If we ate a lot at breakfast, she was flexible about lunch time. She was very attentive and was quick on her feet to making use of what was available. She was super friendly, talkative, energetic, bubbly, funny, and we loved hanging with her. Especially me I got to talk to her a lot and she was awesome. Up early, working hard, on task, cleaning up, not leaving any messes, washing dishes right after meals, and always so helpful to us on setting up/coordinating dinners and hanging with us. Really feel like I made a genuine friend with her too.
When I think of peaches I think of Taylor. Her energy and smile alone made the week that much more fun. Her food was Michelin 3 stars. She was always on point with everything, from getting our tables set up to helping us with jet skis. Taylor is an Aussie but moving to the US and I can't wait to reunite with her in October.
She made us feel at home. The food was amazing. Taste, quantity, quality was all taken well care of. She always had a smile on her face which made it even more special. Thank you Taylor!
We challenged you to free us from quarantine and pandemic induced claustrophobic blues while also keeping us safe. You were wildly successful! Xander sailed us to beautiful hidden harbors and secluded beaches without requiring us to look at our watches or a calendar for that matter. Xander accommodated our desire to feel productive by accepting less than effective gestures of help in anchoring and mooring making us feel like contributors despite increasing his workload. Taylor's meals were inspired, delicious, and beautiful gourmet courses. When the local restaurants shut down mid week, new onboard menus were planned and delivered without missing a beat. Not only were you competent at adjusting to unplanned curveballs, you did so in a way that made it seem like the plan all along. By the end of the trip we were calling you "mom and dad" despite us being twice your age. You were the coolest "parents on the boat" since you fed us a never-ending stream of painkillers. We highly recommend you as perfect hosts for any group looking to dip their toes in the water and adolescence, secure that you'll keep them from drowning in either.
You both were the most wonderful captain cutie and chef beautiful. You made us forget reality and live in a fantastic fantasy, Thank you!!
The best capt and chef around - thank you for an absolutely magical week! We loved seeing your beautiful home and adventuring around with you and one heck of a group. Feeling very grateful for a wonderful week and even more wonderful friends. We'll be back soon - even if its only to keep beating Xander in Catan.

Thank you for a week filled with amazing memories. From Swish to Smirnoff ices, Tito's to turtles, swells to sensational food, and everything in between.
