MEET YOUR CREW: Connor Burns and Ada Cruz
Growing up beside the breathtaking shores of Cape Town, South Africa, the calm certainty of the ocean’s rhythm is ingrained in Connor’s soul. His upbringing was a mix of saltwater, sand and awesome adventures.
An opportunity of a Trans-Atlantic crossing ignited his passion for sailing. “Nothing beats the thrill of catching the wind and guiding a vessel through the water with no one in sight”. Connor was hooked! His sailing has taken him from Cape Town, to Panama, to the Mediterranean, and more recently to the Caribbean where he has run term charters within the BVI.
Connor embraces his role as a charter captain and host, introducing his charter guests to the world of sailing by curating unforgettable experiences in the beautiful setting of the Virgin Islands.
Adamaris (Ada) Cruz, a true Puerto Rican at heart. Born and raised in the beautiful town of Trujillo Alto, she has a genuine passion for all things water related, whether it’s swimming, diving, or simply enjoying the soothing sound of waves on the shore. When it comes to food, Ada is an absolute connoisseur - savoring the traditional flavors of Puerto Rican cuisine and exploring culinary delights from around the world. Ada not only appreciates good food, but she also has a true passion for cooking. Experimenting with new recipes and placing her own twist on traditional dishes, she loves the creative process of preparing delicious meals that bring people together. She has recently completed a two-week culinary course at Stir Crazy, Super Yacht Training Academy in Cape Town, South Africa.
Together, Connor and Ada create amazing charters for their guests that forge connections, take pleasure in culinary delights and create life lasting memories!

Ada's daily food artistry perfectly complemented days filled with exploring, activities, relaxing, sailing, secret snorkeling locations, searching for and finding pirate treasure, watching shooting stars and satellites at night, anchoring in secluded bays, guaranteed shark sightings. All accompanied by a great playlist morning to night. Finally, the daily briefings in native South african were the best!

We are writing to let you know how much we were blown away by our sailing trip to the Virgin Islands with you both! From the beginning you both made us feel welcome and very safe. Your confidence in sailing and top notch service were impeccable. You made sure we were well fed, having fun, and had all the comforts in place for us. Ada - your meals were wonderful and every day we looked forward to what you were going to create for us. I especially loved waking up to the breakfasts and the evening desserts. Tim loved your dinner creations. The charcuterie boards were always "right on time" as sailing makes you so hungry. LOL. Everything was perfect! Playing Catchphrase with you both was a highlight as you had fun with this insane crowd. It was impressive how you were not deterred from the playful "smack-talk" either. Coming back from an evening at Soggy Dollar Bar to find a lovely birthday surprise with balloons and decorations was so nice for Vicki - she was very touched. Connor you have a great knowledge of the different islands. We appreciate you getting us to the Baths before the the crowds - how amazing to see it as the first footprints on the sand for the day. The snorkeling spots were so cool for me as I had very little knowledge of snorkeling. Thank you for taking us to Anegada, it was so beautiful touring the island to see the flamingos and beautiful water and beaches. The fresh Anegada lobster dinner was amazing! Thank you again for making the tour exceptional and one we will never forget. We all said that you and Ada will always be our captain and chef when we return - hopefully in the very near future. Tim is sailing again with his buddies in the Spring and he will reach out for sure to maybe see you and Ada.

Our group was, well, "eventful" 😉 and maybe just a bit hard to manage...but you guys were just perfect and so flexible about what we needed. The food was terrific and you made sure we had what we wanted and also where we wanted to go. Our schedule was your schedule...doesn't get much better than that. Vicki and I keep talking about this trip (and always will)...her birthday was so much fun and much of that was due to both of you making sure we were all happy. We recently had the pleasure of embarking on a seven day catamaran vacation around the stunning British Virgin Islands, and it was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the exceptional team of Captain Connor Burns and Chef Ada on Libra. You made the birthday trip for us very special. Our family had fun in the water and on the yacht. Even our 8 month old enjoyed splashing in the water and observing the fish. The food was delicious and so beautifully presented. Captain Andrew offered so may activities for us to do and took us to scenic sites. Thank you for your hospitality and making the trip so enjoyable. We want to come back and see you again.
Thank you guys for this amazing experience sailing through the BVI. We loved the experience going through underwater caves, the sea scooters, the scenery and especially the sunset cruise. And don't get me started on the food. The food was divine thanks to masterchef Lindsey. Andrew, amazing job manoeuvering the yacht. Also thank you for making it as scenic as possible.
The boat charter experience on Libra was one of the best vacations we have ever been on. The memories we created will last a lifetime. I loved the food - so good!! Andrew was awesome. It was the best time with some of the best people. Thanks for making it so much fun!

What a great week! Jill & I have taken a charter through the BVIs several times but this trip was the first for our “Wild” family, (10 pax)! What a week! After 3 previous sailing trips, our expectations were VERY high. Chris and Lida FAR exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful trip and consider you both friends! It was awesome starting mornings with fresh coffee and cappuccino. The food was fresh and amazing. We were the envy of every other boat thanks to the "reverse cabungee" and incredible water sports experiences. I also appreciated the depth of the conversations and personal connections. It's almost as if you could read our minds and anticipate our every desire in advance. Thank you both for making such a memorable holiday for us.

Not only do you have every fun sea toy available at a seconds notice but you do it with such a happy, fun-living vibe. We have never seen someone take such meticulous care of water toys) We will truly miss the both of you the most from this trip. We will also miss our morning cappucchino's and endless cocktails. It was a "pleasure" meeting you guys.
My experience was nothing short of outstanding. The crew is top notch as is the yacht. I could not be more satisfied. Indeed, we had a wonderful time with your very professional crew, Chris and Lida. Chris, is at the top of his game and most certainly the best skipper that I have had the pleasure of meeting.
We relaxed and were taken care of to perfection. Our team and boat were fantastic! Chris and Lida made us feel like family.
